More than $15,000 worth of designer furniture has been stolen by thieves in a robbery in Birmingham, UK. The high end furniture which belonged to US firm Ashley Furniture had been designed by top Italian designer Jean-Luc Grazzi. The furniture had been on display at an exhibition in the city. The 18 items, with a combined value of over $15,000 consited mostly of corner units and sofas.

The team that looked after the particular exhibit returned to dismantle it as the exhibition had concluded but found the furniture gone upon their return. The police were notified and all relevant staff questioned, however no tangible leads have been identified thus far. CCTV footage from the exhibition is also being analyzed by police in an attempt to identify the thieves. It is believed that the items were stolen to order.
